For the Calypso Consulting analysis project, I was the influencer lead, responsible for developing an influencer strategy for Calypso, a consumer packaged goods (CPG) brand. The main challenge was to find influencers who not only aligned with Calypso's values but also connected with the target audience we had defined through demographic data, interests, and online behaviors. In addition to leading the influencer strategy, I also assisted with content planning and social media strategy to ensure everything worked together as part of a cohesive digital marketing plan.
To tackle this, my team and I first developed detailed personas based on our research. After identifying our target audience, I invested significant time into researching influencers and determining the best strategy for Calypso. I utilized tools like SEMrush to analyze potential influencers' reach, engagement, and relevance to Calypso's brand. Beyond using analytical tools, I conducted extensive research by reviewing social media platforms, blogs, and influencer profiles to find two influencers who were a great fit for Calypso and would resonate with our personas. I then pitched these influencers to Calypso’s team, explaining how they could help increase brand awareness and engagement. I also ensured that the influencer partnerships were integrated into the content strategy, aligning with key dates and promotional events.
The influencers I suggested were a perfect match for Calypso, and the team was excited about the pitch. My strategy played a key role in shaping a well-rounded digital marketing plan that integrated influencer partnerships, content marketing, and social media planning, ultimately helping to drive awareness and engagement for the brand.
